@SMANDABEAR The game usually generates an EA Games\The Sims 2\ folder in your Documents folder. The first thing that comes to my mind is suggesting a cheat boolprop ShowLotPackageFilename true in the neighborhood view. When that cheat is active, hovering over any lot with your mouse will display its name and the file location. Hopefully, that will be enough to tell you where the EA Games folder is located.
