It is true that no one forced us to buy the product, but it is their job to make patches/updates that will not interfere with gameplay. We paid for it so we have the same right as windows 7 users to have up to date gameplay and access to the EP.

Nobody informed us that it doesn't work on windows 8 either. If we had have known this then we wouldn't have bought it. Also I don't find anyone offering a refund. Maybe you should think about what you post as it is rude mannered or maybe that's just the way you are?

Yes, they are screwing us, there is nothing that says this game is not compatible with Windows 8.

@Keithisreal2013: The point is, EA did not state in the advertising that this game is not compatible with Windows 8, had they done so, we would not have bought it. It is not an issue of, as you say, "forcing us" to play or buy it, it is an issue of continuing to sell the product with a known incompatibility without telling or warning the consumer at the point of purchase or in the advertising.

Got this game at the same time I got a new Windows 8 PC. It doesn’t work. I understand compatibility patches take some time to develop. However, I find it disturbing that I can download this from a piracy site on the internet and it works perfectly, but try and buy and use it legit, and EA cant be bothered with fixing it. Fine, I returned it to the place I bought it and I'm running the pirated version without issue. (I'm certainly not going to pay EA if I have to put my computer at risk)

Someday these software dev companies, and media companies will realize that “most” people are happy to pay for their content if they make it easy, accessible, and they show their commitment to the customer. That’s the best way to combat piracy. Making things insanely difficult to the average user in an effort to prevent piracy (which happens anyway) doesn’t work.
