@troshalom Can you please provide your Sims 2 config log? It can be found in Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Logs\ and its name usually follows the format [DESKTOP/LAPTOP name]-config-log.txt. You can run the game and close it from the main menu to get the most up-to-date version of the log file. If it contains something you would like to keep private, such as your computer username, you can edit it out in Notepad.
Please also run a DxDiag and attach it with your reply, alongside the config log.

Just remembered that the last time I played Sims 2 was August 2022 and I was using Origin. I was able to play the game without incident. When I switched over to the EA App, that's when the trouble began.
