Remastered or Remake

I've been gaming for as long as I can remember and I've never known the industry to be so dedicated to remastering and remaking now, than ever before. AoE, C&C, Commandos, Mafia etc. Question is...

Sims 1 to be played in native widescreen on higher resolutions would be great, I wouldn't even want any real graphical updates aside from the UI to work on widescreen and removal of old dead web buttons.
