Restoring houses into re-installed Sims 2 Double Deluxe & organizing collection icons

In the files I saved in my external drive (by just moving them manually) which the program creates when you install it; i.e., Collections, Config, logs, downloas, movies, neighborhoods, storytelling,...

    You can try to patch your game to the latest version: [The Sims 2] The Sims 2 (original) Patch Help

    But the online services for Sims 2 are not available anymore which means that the Exchange won't work anymore. It's possible that you are not able to use all the functions there nowadays.

    It seems a shame that the Sims 2 game is no longer being serviced :o(  Sims 2 is much better than Sims 3 in many respects.  So anyone who has to have their hard drive cleaned or if they buy a new computer, that they no longer can restore their Sims to where it was after much dlownloadng and creating
