Should I get OG Planet coaster when Planet Coaster 2 is coming out?

I'm taking a long break from my 8 years of working on my Swanson Simlit.    As part of that break I'm trying out other games.

I have only tried out 2 games so far:

CKIII 

Democracy 4. 

I did have Planet Coaster on my Steam Wishlist.  But I'm wondering if I should bother to buy it now when Planet Coaster 2 is coming out?
