SimGuruFrost Heavily Suggests No TS5 Announcement at Summit

I don't think that this means there won't be a Sims 5 Announcement it's just in addition to a Sims 5 Announcement. He just didn't mention a Sims 5 Announcement.

They can still announce The Sims 5. The announcement of The Sims 5 won't mean that The Sims 4 will immediately stop. I am sure that they will still release -at least- a few packs for The Sims 4.

If they really announce The Sims 5, it will for sure take another year until release. (if not longer).

It's also not like they have just started on The Sims 5. There have been job listings since 2018. This game is at least 4 years in development from what it seems.

I completely agree, when Grant moved onto doing something else at Maxis a few years ago that’s when I thought something was shifting and something new was being worked on. I don’t expect a release until 2024 (earliest), but an announcement/teaser doesn’t seem that unrealistic in all honesty.

Or hear me out "summit" could mean the top as in Sims 4 has reached its end they made it to the top and now we can see everything coming. ;)

I been thinking about it and if we do get the sims 5 and tell me if this is crazy witch the gallery do you think we would be able to keep ore old sims 4 sims like put them in sims 5 I don't want to start allover yet

There won’t be. I don’t believe they will make the announcement until their gaming event this summer. Summer of 2023 will be when they announce the sims 5. September 2025 is when it will release. Although they will claim early 2025 probably or even late 2024 but they won’t release it tell fall of 2025. There will a delay from when they announce the release date.

The sims 4 will hit its ten year mark. I believe they will act like they didn’t plan it that way. But I believe they are. They will delay the sims 5 when they do announce its release date, to make sims 5 come out in 2025. It also sets the sims 5 to be expected to run for another ten years before worrying about another sequel. I believe they have it planned out this way.

And I hope that loyal simmers who have built this franchise up and kept it going to get EA and Maxis to this point aren’t going to get thrown under the bus. The fact that it took a last minute change to keep TS4 single player offline doesn’t fill me with hope. I feel like we’re about to be kicked to the curb.

We’ve made our feelings known, no online, no multiplayer, just make the best ever offline single player Sims. That’s what we love about this game. It’s an oasis in a world of online gaming. A place where we can go and escape, where we decide our stories.
