I would be super shocked if it was a shapeshifter as people are suggesting. Never thought of that but I can vibe with shape shifters ?
I do agree that I wouldn't want Werewolves to get less attention in order to focus on multiple creatures but at the same time the idea of multiple creatures doesn't sound bad if done well.
