Hmmm. Maybe we'll finally find out what happened to the Magic Realm. Maybe it was the Mooncasters who broke it. Maybe they were practioners of forbidden magic. And maybe werewolves were a byproduct of the resulting cataclysm when the Mooncasters pushed too hard against the boundaries of possibility. :hushed:
What if werewolves weren't the byproduct of the breaking of the Magic Realm, but the event that broke it. Maybe the Century Conflict was a war between traditional werewolves and werewolves that came into being by magic. Or is the Century Conflict between good and evil magic?
All equally possible and interesting theories, I'd say. Although, I'd prefer not to see "good and evil" defined, but rather some euphemistic form of "the possible" and "the forbidden" in terms of magic and occult powers, etc. I don't know if that's very possible in a game that's fairly cartoony in the first place, but I likes me some subtlety (and less either/or) whenever I can get it. :yum:
You bring up a good point, not using the traditional good and evil tags. I like your terms and some ambiguity. I had a discussion on the what world thread where the idea of wild werewolves who embrace their nature and ones that were turned against their will and fight to regain their humanity. It's intriguing, but I'm having a hard time figuring out how that could logically span a century.
