The Moonwood was a large forest north of Silverymoon in the Silver Marches. By about 1460 DR, the Moonwood had grown together with the Cold Wood and the larger forest was known as the Glimmerwood, although the elves and the locals still referred to it as the Moonwood. (Forgotten Realms)
Are you guys positive the next pack is actually about werewolves?
The main Sims page, which is currently advertising the content season mentions "step into the moonlight and see what you become" and "running wild this season". The phrase they use to tease the upcoming game pack is "Go Wild", other language translations have included things like "grow fangs". Then there was the wolf howl in the original teaser trailer. The werewolf movie in the screenshot for the kid camping kit (which doesn't make sense for a movie for children to be watching, pretty random). I have no doubt it is, if not werewolves, some sort of werecreature/shapeshifter situation.
Yeah, thanks I've seen a few of those. However, Moonwood in D&D has Elves and Druids, too. Moonwood Mill sounds like a place where a Sim could craft something. In the D&D Druids craft things out of gems etc. I'm just asking if people think it's only about werewolves or maybe more? Since it seems to be taking it's name (world) from D&D's Forgotten Realms which the four became Glimmerbrook.
ETA: Another hint since there was a 'night' hint in some of these topics is the fact D&D Moonwood or one of the other realms has Night Trees....I think it's interesting to see the comparisons with all these hints.
Edited to add, it would be nice if it's more than just werewolves... :)- The Sims team has stated previously that if they were to do werewolves and faeries, they would want to give them the same treatment as Vampires and Spellcasters. Aka, being fully fleshed out and given their own packs.
If that holds true...I guess we'll find out. I hope it will be, since there's a lot you can do with both occults with just a little creativity.
I think it'd be interesting if this was a pack with a storyline, like Strangerville. If it were a mystery like the Werewolf game, with a werewolf stirring up trouble in Moonwood Mill and our Sim investigating it. Maybe getting bit along the way and looking for a cure that you can make by the time you solve the mystery so you can either take the cure or stay a werewolf.
This is just my wishful thinking because I love a mystery, though! At the end of the day, I just want werewolves. They've made such an interesting game of speculation for this pack that it gives me hope for something interesting. - VWoodsong3 years agoSeasoned AceAnd here was me thinking that Moonwood Mill probably got its name from the ancient practice of using lunar cycles for guidance in forest husbandry and farming (among other things). But maybe not.
- Isharell3 years agoSeasoned AceFingers crossed for more information today! Oh, dear devs, don't make us wait!
Werewolves? Were-animals? Aaroooo! Merrroooww! Grawwerrr.

I'm so excited that I can hardly sit still and concentrate on my work. Judging by the looks on my coworkers faces I think they're plotting to tie me to my chair.- VWoodsong3 years agoSeasoned Ace

I wouldn't cut off forest activities just yet. This and a possible Outdoor Retreat refresh are golden chances at touching the theme, which has been a bit in vogue in the eco circle.
Oh, I'm not counting it out. Quite the contrary, from the collected bits of hints, many of them heavy with the inference of forest and moon in at least some kind of context related to the coming pack. My comment was meant to be a little ironic, but then again I don't want to assume I'm right, either. I'm very often wrong. - If we get the trailer today it should be going up in 15 minutes. EPs and GPs tend to get announced at 11am Eastern.
- Here's a thought, the last clue yesterday was 'Take a dip in Lake Lunvik'. What if the Mooncasters cursed the lake, and taking a dip will turn you into a werewolf?

Given the abundance of frog hints, maybe you will turn into a frog.
