Pink hair isn’t genetic? I had a pink-haired human Sim father pink-haired twins. Was it just weird luck? I had to decide whether or not to keep it that way, since the father’s hair was just dyed.

If you create create teens directly in CAS with the DNA tool they can inherit unnatural colours. But if you have a baby born ingame, once that baby ages up to a toddler it will get a traditional hair colour because Maxis never created all colours for all ages.

You can call it favouritism if you want to, but it's actually one of the main purposes of the program:

If the new skin tones are coming soon, they've been in the works since before the Game Changer videos. The videos likely prompted an early announcement, though.

I wish they'd actually read the forums. People have been complaining about this for YEARS. It shouldn't take the game changers to fix this issue.
I'm glad they're addressing and fixing this, but they should have addressed this years ago.
Maybe they should stop relying on the Game Changers so much for feedback and actually listen to players.

Real sad though that simmers of color have been bringing this up for years and it took the voices of white GCs to make something happen. REALLY says alot.

You'll have to pardon me for not jumping for joy. Im still happy to hear, but Im probably still not going to get rid of the actually decent cc skin tones Ive downloaded.

I don't think people should be expecting new hair colors. If you watch the video again, you'll see that Lyndsay specifically addressed skin tones and hair styles.

She then went on to say that skin tones would be addressed in the fall, both current and new ones. This does not include hair, from my understanding of the video.

It's a shame it took so much to get even a response on the issue. They need to start interacting with the community more and taking feedback on peoples issues rather than just ignoring what people are saying most the time. Even if they just talked about the situation with certain things that players want that would make a huge difference.

It's sad that it takes the voice of big name game changers to get any response from them.

If they're working on things people really want, don't save it for a surprise release, let people know what's going on so they don't feel so ignored

SimGuruNinja sometimes pops in from time to time. He's the only guru I've ever seen comment in the forums. And I don't think everything is "toxic" in the forums, we give constructive criticism. We all love the Sims. Plus there are plenty of happy and positive threads they could contribute towards, but they don't.

well true but it really should have included hair colors
considering those are also big part of issue people have with genetics in ts4
and representing themselves in the game
