I’m so glad I found this thread! I love chatting with other people who craft since it is such a huge part of my life. I’ve been crocheting for about eleven years now. Currently, I’m working on a diagonal box-stitch baby blanket (a commission), a self-striping scarf that is a present for my dad’s co-worker’s daughter and a hat for myself to match my new winter coat.
I’m also a cosplayer which includes a lot of other crafts, whatever the costume demands, really. Recently I’ve been doing chainmaille and scalemaille work.
But my hands down favorite is sewing. I started taking weekly lessons 2 ½ years ago and never looked back. I love making all the costumes for my cosplays. Mostly I do fantasy outfits for Renaissance Faires and such (a lot of Lord of the Rings and Daenerys from Game of Thrones, her wardrobe is my favorite), but I’ve also done Katniss from the Hunger Games, a Lady Loki and right now, I’m working on an 18th century corset.
