Simple things we miss from previous The Sims games

Sometimes I miss funny or functional things or some simple functionalities from previous series. I am wondering if you have some objects/interactions which you miss from previous The Sims games if yes...

A lot of things mentioned above, but also the ability to buy groceries and clothes (retail system in TS4 is not the same).
