Why couldn’t they have released Sims 1 and 2 for Mac users? And are they planning to at all? That’s so unfair :(

From the looks of it, it's barely running on Windows. Are you sure you want to be get mixed up in it?

I own the entirety of the Sims 3 and 4 on Mac and am *&^^$#. I've played every Sims game since 2000 on a Mac. Why are you leaving out so many of your players? It's bad enough that the Sims 2 Super Collection I paid for on Mac no longer works. Come on, EA. I defend your shennanegans constantly. This is BS.
I think there are many people around my age (late 20s/early 30s) that aren’t “gamers” but played the sims as a child and would purchase it now but they use Mac for work/school. Please help us with a Mac release 🥹🥹🥹

Super Collection is missing most stuff packs, plus Freetime and Apartment Life, so I'd rather have the Legacy Pack for my Mac. (I do own and enjoy Super Collection but would like to have more content). Won't be getting the Legacy Pack for my Windows laptop (it was advertised to be a gaming laptop but can't run anything made in the last 20 years without overheating smh) as it still runs my TS1 Complete Collection from the discs and the TS2 Ultimate Collection I thankfully still have (and I still have my TS2 discs in case they remove TS2 Ultimate Collection).
But others aren't as fortunate as me, to have those options, and it would really be nice to be able to play on my Mac. I know there's more barriers with like software differences as stuff, but I think it'd be cool (and generate revenue, which – no shade – we all know is a big motivator lol)
I agree! That is unacceptable and unfair. There are lots of MAC users who were awaiting this release as well! I can’t buy a new PC just to play legacy games. EA is leaving out a huge group. You are losing a lot of money from excluding a group due to what computers we purchased. That response from EA is 🗑️
I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s actually legal/contract reasons. The Mac ports of TS1 & TS2 were not made by EA but were licensed to a 3rd party company, (Aspyr Media) who technically still have the legal right to sell the games, as evidenced by the fact that it’s still available on the App Store. To release a port on their own now, they would have to A) renegotiate that original contract with Aspyr Media and B) create their own ports of at least the packs not originally included in Aspyr’s collection.
To make the Sims 2 Super Collection work on Mac just change the refresh rate from ProMotion to 60 H and the game will start right away. :)
I use Parallels to play The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection and the Sims 3 but I used to play The Sims 2 Super Collection (shame that version doesn't have some packs tho)
Total bullsh1t to leave out Mac users. Get your act together EA!!
