Sims 1 Error with EA App

Anyone else having this issue? My Sims 1 downloaded fine but it will not run due to the EA App not being installed. I have tried restarting computer, repairing game, uninstalling the game, reinstalling the game, repairing the game on second reinstall, launching the game from program files, copying files to documents and seeing if it will run from there and the same error keeps coming up. Even if I attempt to run it from the EA App it still shows the error of it needing the EA App reinstalled. Can someone point me in the right direction?
