SIMS 1 Won't run, update graphics card...

Question

I am trying ton open the sims after the recent patch update, and i am constantly getting; Error The game was unable to find a suitable Vulkan drive on this machine, please update your graphic card drivers and try again....

My graphics card does not need updating i have tried installing Vulkan and other graphics related programmes to try and get it to run but they say that they are not compatible with my laptop... I'm using Windows 10 and i can run and play every other game apart from this one. Sims 2 runs like a dream so I don't understand what else i can possible do?? Im not installing anymore programmes because tbh I have no idea what i am installing and i really don't want to risk messing up my laptop just for 1 game:(

Same here. I have a new Surface laptop that I bought in December, and I've double-checked that all my drivers and everything are up-to-date. This is extremely frustrating.
