Sims 2 and onedrive question

so i recently unlinked my onedrive and told it to stop syncing to the computer- my EA Games Documents folder is there for both TS2, and TS4. I checked and EA games saved my sims 2 files on the pc. (so in all essence- i have the files, just no folder for the game itself. My question is would it regenerate a new folder or, can i copy the whole folder from onedrive if i want my old saved games? Or just copy the NOO2, Noo1, ETC Folders from there?
@Sunflowergal227 I recommend making a backup of your user data first, just to be safe, then letting the game generate a fresh folder so you can see the structure. After that, whatever you replace, delete the original first, especially with neighborhoods.
Do not just copy and paste neighborhoods, because that will most likely merge your versions with Maxis ones, possibly corrupting them. If you have an N001, for example, that you want to place in the game, first delete Maxis' N001 and only then paste your version in the Neighborhoods folder.
