Sims 2 AutoRunGui.dll issues

Question

I have been trying to download the Sims 2 for two days straight now. I have Windows 7 Ultimate and have tried using the Virtual PC and Windows XP Mode through that to download the Sims 2, but I continually get an error as soon as I try to boot it up.

I have also tried to download it on my Windows 7 directly, but if I can get the installation to start, it stops at about 2% and never moves.

I have used compatibility wizard for Windows 7, but each time this says the AutoRunGui.dll is missing or corrupt.

Someone please help me. All I want to do is play the Sims!!!!

When you don't use the compatibility mode, try to delete your Origin cache :&nbsp;http://help.ea.com/en/article/clearing-your-origin-temporary-files/
