@daisyboo95 , we can fix two problems at once. If you'd like to play in full screen mode, you need to edit your Graphics Rule.sgr file again to insure that you have the the proper settings for your screen size. Always make a copy as a back up to insure that if anything happens your original data will be safe and if you mess up anything, you have a clean copy to go back to. Save that backup copy to your Desktop to keep it safe. I usually have a special folder that I put it in so I don't accidentally do anything to it until I need it.
First locate your program files > The Sims 2 > TSData > Res > Config and find the file called "Graphics Rules.sgr" and then open it up with notepad. Then you need to find the line "option ScreenModeResolution". You can press the control and f keys at the same time to bring up the finder to locate this line easily. You need to change the High setting to your resolution, as well as medium. For example, this is what it can look like;
"option ScreenModeResolution
setting $Low
uintProp maxResWidth 800
uintProp maxResHeight 600
uintProp defaultResWidth 800
uintProp defaultResHeight 600
setting $Medium
uintProp maxResWidth 1680
uintProp maxResHeight 1050
uintProp defaultResWidth 1024
uintProp defaultResHeight 768
setting $High
uintProp maxResWidth 2560
uintProp maxResHeight 1600
uintProp defaultResWidth 1024
uintProp defaultResHeight 768
end"
I have also seen YouTube videos that also show how to edit your Graphics Rule.sgr to run in full screen. Google under Sims 2 Full Screen. Depending on which version of the Sims 2 you are playing (disk version or from Origin), You should always edit the Graphics Rule.sgr in your latest EP/SP. I edited them all in everything and the game runs fine. This should help you to play with a larger screen resolution and allow you to see the cheat code box.
