Sims 2 Crashes when trying to make a plantbaby

Question

Every time I have my plantsim try to make a plantbaby the game crashes as soon as the popup about a new member joining the family comes up.

I do not have any mods or anything like that. It only happens with my sim in pleasantview as far as I know. I haven't tried I anywhere else except for the PlantSim already in the game in the neighborhood from the weather expansion pack and that one works fine.
