sims 2 digital download with code?

Hello, I have purchased 4 copies of Sims 2 over the years plus all the expansion packs. I have most of the codes. But, I am trying to install it on my old computer with Windows XP which only read...

    @onemoredenise Hi, The Sims 2 precedes out digital system, so the codes aren't recognised. 

    If you reach out to support they should be able to convert your disc copy of the game to a digital version, you should hopefully have no further issues.

      @T_Michellyyyy , if you look at the date of the original post, it was 4 years ago. Digital code support for Sims 2 Ultimate Collection ended October 2018 and the game is no longer available for purchase or for free by using your original CD codes on Origin. If you have an external disk drive and the original disks, the game will run on Windows 10. If you play on a Mac, the Apple App Store has the Sims 2 Super Collection which includes all of the Sims 2 EPs and SPs that were ported to the Mac OS.

      EA is very aware of the Sims Community wanting to have the game remastered to run on newer computers, but they made the decision to focus their time and resources on other projects. 

      I'm sorry you missed the original giveaway prior to October 2018.

        @Tremayne4260  I'm sorry for asking this, but I have wondered about this for a long time.

        How do you know they are aware? Do you have some sort of off-forum communication with the ones responsible for The Sims 2?
