Sims 2 Families disappeared

Question

So I have been playing one custom neighborhood in the Sims 2 and everything was completely normal. Even the day before the problem appeared everything was normal. The next day I open the game again, everything seems normal, the game doesn't take long to load, until I try to open my custom neighborhood again, but the game just got stuck on the loading screen, It never happened before. I Was a little freaked out, but I decided to patiently wait until it loads. It took quite some time to load (8-10 mins or so), and when it finally loaded all the houses were empty and families were missing. But strangely enough only ONE family was still there. Even all of the the families from household bin just disappeared, except Ottomas family. I Diddn't do anything and just closed the game.

I Don't know what to do, really need your help on how to get the missing families back.

@m4bba69le5yi&nbsp;, Ok, first try to simply move your Sims 2 folder (found Documents &gt; EA Games &gt; Sims 2) to your Desktop. Do not copy it, do not create a short cut, move it out. Don't worry the game will regenerate a new one. Restart your game, however, none of your saved games or custom content or mods will be present. This is to make sure the game works as normal. The Sims 2 folder that you moved contains your saved games, CC and any other mods you added to your game.&nbsp;Create a Sim or play for at least an hour to make sure your game is at least playing as normal. You can save or not that is your choice. Once you have confirmed your game is back to normal, you can slowly add back your CC/mods first and then your custom Neighborhood by moving the Custom Neighborhood folder from your Desktop to your new Sims 2 folder. Please let me know if this works for you or if you need any additional help.

@m4bba69le5yi Before you commit to further testing, does your PC have OneDrive or an antivirus (other than Microsoft Defender) that might be interfering with the game?

Everything went okay, and I done all the steps, but sadly I wasn't able to get the families back. ☹️&nbsp;
