@brii1998 , EA Support is correct in that you can no longer redeem old Sims 2 codes for digital copies of the game as the promotion ended October 2018. However, you can still play Sims 2 and in order to install the game on Windows may have to do a fresh install.
In order to install and play Sims 2 you have to install the Expansion and Stuff Pack in release order. If you want to insure your saved games are safe, move your Sims 2 folder (Found Documents > EA Games > Sims 2) to your Desktop and do not Delete it!

- I did that and it didn't work. It still said the same thing. Will I have to just buy a whole new game?
You shouldn't have to. Unless your disk is somehow scratched or damaged.
