Sims 2 Nightlife - Please Insert Disk 1

I have The Sims 2 and several expansions and stuff packs installed. When I tried to download Nightlife, as soon as I enter the disk into the computer, it immediately gives me a pop-up message saying ...

So should I uninstall all the games and reinstall them in release order?

    I did that and it didn't work. It still said the same thing. Will I have to just buy a whole new game?

      You shouldn't have to. Unless your disk is somehow scratched or damaged.
