Sims 2 not installing on Windows 7

Hey there,

I've finally decided to install The Sims 2 on my new Windows 7 new laptop, but it won't install.  At 1% this message comes up: An error occured when trying to transfer the file D:/Support/es/Leeme.txt from the media and then asks me to retry installation, but it still won't work.  What do I do?
