SIMS 2 Not Loading on Create A Sim [Windows 10]
Okay, this is already a well spread problem! but I REALLY could use the help.
Firstly, I have a Windows 10 laptop and I manually installed The Sims 2 as the 4 Disc Collection. When I clicked it, the game didn't actually didn't work. (said it needed DirectX 9.0c which I downloaded after, all that. I do know it's 32 bit and my laptop is 64 bit also, so I ran it as administrator and modified it to work)
I did copy and paste the shortcut to minimize the window (so I have two Sims 2 shortcuts) and it started up fine. BUT when I got past the city and chose a family, or wanted to create a sim... it gets stuck on the load screen. Everything is still moving, it doesn't freeze. It just stays on that loading screen. Forever.
After downloading the Graphics Rule Maker, I tried to modify the Sims 2 game and start it up again, but it still stays on that loading screen. No change.
I heard about this 4GB that I need to download, but I'm not sure what to do with it or where to put it once it's downloaded. So, if that is the missing link, it'd probably work!
If anyone needs my data, I have it copied and all. But I've done about all I've seen and know how to do, so far. Thank you to anyone who responds! It means the most.
