Sims 2 onto Origin

Please help me get Sims 2 on Origin. I have all of my old discs but my current laptop doesn't have a CD ROM drive. If I bought an external one would I be able to get my games onto Origin?

Thanks for the reply! Never saw this and ended up giving up before. The rough part is my Sims 2 games are all Mac only. My Mac laptop has a CD ROM but I'm not confident in it being able to play the games. I'll go ahead and give it a try and see what happens I guess.
