Just tried it again, and the only two options available were the forums (the recommended option), and by phone (the other option). I've checked the forums again for this particular error message and people are saying that due to compatibility issues the program won't install. Since my mother bought this game for me years ago, I probably can't get a refund, and I'd rather play the game. I don't know why 'Sims 2' works, but this expansion pack doesn't. I hope it's not a case of installing other expansion packs before it, because I don't have any others.
