Sims 2 Registration Code Lost

Question

Hello,&nbsp;I have a question about the game "Sims 2".I bought this game a few years ago and&nbsp;now feel like replaying it. I found the box that contained the CD and inserted the CD into my PC. A pop up came, which said I needed a registration&nbsp;code,&nbsp;so I tried to look for&nbsp;it,&nbsp;and could not find it. I found&nbsp;out that the code was on the booklet that came with the box,&nbsp;but the problem is, I do not have that booklet anymore,&nbsp;either I have thrown it away or lost it. All of the other expansion packs that I have bought for this game have their booklets in with their registration codes.&nbsp;&nbsp;I was wondering if it was possible to renew this code. I have the box along with the CD of course, and can try to find the proof of the payment, although I cannot promise I will find it as it was a long time ago. It would be greatly appreciated if there was a solution to this.

@Bircherst&nbsp;, I'm not sure if this can solved, but you would have to contact EA Customer Support to supply you with a new code if one is available. The game is no longer available on Origin to purchase. There are copies of the game available to purchase on Amazon, E-Bay, your local game store that sells used games or your local thrift store. I would suggest first looking at your local stores as they may have copies that won't cost that much.&nbsp;

@BircherstIf you had the game installed on your PC before, you might be able to find your code in Registry Editor. Search "regedit" in Start Menu, and once it opens, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Electronic Arts\EA Games\The Sims 2\ergc.
