Sims 2 skin glitch

Ok, I recently got the Sims 2 from friend. Everything was fine until I added expansion packs, for some reason, my sims skin tone, and various other textures on my sims, wont appear. Instead, its white with writing on it, saying what should be there. I think its the original coding for the texture. I tried to un-install the games, but when I reinstalled everything the same glitch happened. Please tell me this is fixable?
