Sims 2 UC crashing after leaving community lots

Hey fellow Simmers, hope to find help here

(please note that English is not my first language, if there's anything incomprehensible, please message me and I will elaborate)

Like many others, I am experiencing the "This application has crashed. It will now terminate." Error with the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection

I have done numerous tests and in my case it seems like this error only occurs when i'm trying to leave a community lot. I've managed to leave these lots unharmed a few times, but roughly 95% of the times, it crashed as my Sim tried getting off the lot via Car or Taxi, rendering all of my progress on that lot completely useless. If I go to a community later on after having been on one before, it 100% crashes.

Before telling me to check specific threads, I've checked many many threads regarding this error and also tried solving it using the given solutions.

I will first give my system specs, then I will list my attempts on fixing this error

System Specs:

Windows Version: Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)

Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X (6 cores, 3.6 GHz)

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

RAM: 16GB

Monitors (I have two monitors plugged in, but i'm solely playing on the following one): BenQ XL2411

Headphones (Since some games even seem to have problems with audio): HyperX Cloud II

Fixing attempts: (not in chronological order)

1. Repairing the game via Origin

2. Reinstalling the Game

3. Emptying the Accessory and Groups cache

4. Running the Game in Compatibility Modes (I have tested XP SP2 and 3, Vista SP 1 and 2 and Windows 7

5. Creating a Graphics Rules Data that makes my graphics card recognizable and also fixes the locked resolution issue

6. Applying a 4GB Patch

7. Removing SecuRom

8. Removing the TM symbol via regedit

9. Running the Game in 8-biot color mode and as administrator

These are all things i remember trying, maybe I have already tried other stuff, I can't quite remember

I hope that there is anything that I could still try (except for switching to an older Windows version or just giving up) because the game, to this day, has a really special place in my heart, since i grew up with it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Greetings,

Kel.
