Sims 2 Ultimate Collection won't load my neigborhood

I backed up all my Sims 2 files, uninstalled The Sims 2 completely via EA's guide, and installed the new Sims 2 Ultimate Collection.

I loaded the game and saw all the default neighborhoods in place. I exited the game and moved over my neighborhood files for Veronaville (the only neighborhood I've played off of). I loaded the game again, and the default neighborhoods are all still there...except for Veronaville.

If I can't access and play my own Sims then I don't want this collection.

Is there a solution or a way I can download the old Oracle Sim games I downloaded once before?

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the UC to no avail.

@LoveSims1787 , find your Sims 2 folder in your Documents folder (found Documents > EA Games > Sims 2) and move it to your Desktop. Do not copy and paste or create a shortcut. Actually move it. This file contains all of your CC/mods and saved games. Don't worry. Your games will be safe and sound on your Desktop. Next, start up Sims 2 and allow the game to generate a new Sims 2 folder. Then see if the neighborhoods show up and pick one to play. Remember at this time your saved games and CC will not be present in the game. Play for about an hour in real time and either exit without saving the game or save the game you were playing. Start up once more just to see if the neighborhoods are still present.

Let me know what happens and we can then work on getting your saves back in game.
