Sims 4 Kits vs Sims 3 Store: Which one did it better and why?

Plumbella did an interesting Video, where she compared the Sims 3 Store with the Sims 4 Kits. Both of them give you more customization options for your playstyle. So what do you think? Who wins

The store was - and continues to be - way too expensive. I don't have any fondness for kits either.
