Sims Launchers Loop Back to Origin

I used to play Sims 3, Sims 4, and Sims Medieval on an older laptop, and it ran these games pretty well considering it was pretty much a potato.  Never had any issue with the launchers before.  Recently I got a brand new desktop (Windows 11) that runs leagues better and decided to install the Sims games on it.  But for whatever reason, installed games will open the launcher, and then hitting the Play Game button on the launcher just brings me back into Origin.  If I try to open the game through Origin, it will either bring me back to the launcher or back to Origin again in a never-ending loop.  I tried using every shortcut suggested on the forums, I repaired the files, I uninstalled and reinstalled the games, I changed the Origins In-Game settings, but nothing fixes the problem.  I had to download a third-party patch just to get Sims 3 to function like it's supposed to, which is insane.  Sims Medieval currently has the same problem but a third-party patch option doesn't exist for it.  Why is Origin making these games completely non-functional?  I could easily forgive it if it was only Sims 3 - I get that sometimes stuff just happens - but all Sims titles?  It's kind of ridiculous.  I don't currently run any other games through Origin, so I can't say if it does this for other games too, but I'm open for any suggestions on how to fix this or if there's anything I can even do from my end.
