Sims2 Ultimate Collection - DirectX 9.0c error

So I just recently got a copy of The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection through Origin. I was so happy because The Sims 2 is my favorite Sims game. When I went to start up the game however, I got an error message. (the first attachment)

I have been reading online trying to find solutions but so far nothing has worked and The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection has not started up at all with any of the solutions I have tried. I have tried compatibility mode, forcing the game to run in windows mode, and running the game as an administrator, none of which have been successful. 

I'm not the most tech savvy person ever so any help would be appreciated. I am running Windows 10 on PC, and it runs The Sims 4 fine through Origin, now I'm just hoping I can run the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on it too!

Any suggestions or ideas?
