Still able to purchase The Sims (1) Complete Collection

Question

So, I had an old copy of the Sims Complete Collection, which I loved but found I was missing disc 1 - my daughter suggested checking Amazon, which I did, and they are selling it for just under $100.00 (US) which seems like a lot of money for a game that is no longer supported.&nbsp; I have searched around and found a few work-arounds for it (assuming I can find disc 1) but none of the links suggested are still available (all the information is from 2015 or 2016).&nbsp; I ended up getting a copy of the Deluxe Edition and while it installs just fine, it won't work.&nbsp; I have tried changing the compatibility, running as administrator, etc - all the items suggested - but nothing works.&nbsp; Has anyone found a work around?&nbsp; I really loved this game and am very sad it won't work - I am hoping someone has found a work around.&nbsp; Thanks

@smilesong&nbsp;, hello. I know that other people have been able to get The Sims to run on their computers, but I am not sure of exactly what they did. The last person I helped with The Sims, had to do a clean install of the game. Make sure to move any files from Documents &gt; EA Games &gt; The Sims to your Desktop (please do not copy or create a short cut for these files.)Can you try this and let me know if it works?

Thank you for the suggestion.&nbsp; Unfortunately it did not work.&nbsp; Microsoft told me it won't work on Windows 10 because of some kind of safe disc thing on the computer (which they not only disabled but removed from Win 10) - I was very surprised to find it for sale for so much on Amazon when it isn't even supported anymore.&nbsp; it is obvious still a very popular game.&nbsp; I have Sims 3 - it is okay - no desire to play Sims 4 and I hear Sims 2 is no longer supported either. I have some old hard drives with earlier versions of windows on them - I plan to try to play it from one of those.&nbsp; I do appreciate you taking the time to respond.
