What a great thread and had a lovely time reading through :D
My little story and something i am grateful for.
Last year my mum was told she had a tumour   thought my world was turned upside down   but after two weeks of finding out and many tests she was operated on and operation went well, apart from having a stoma bag that she had to get use to (she called it dotty) she got use to it no matter how much it annoyed her. She was suppose to be resting but my mum being her self didnt and kept looking after my step dads mum and the other residents (she isn't a carer any more my step dads mum lives in a accommodation like a mini flat) though she dont have to look after them as they have their own family she does anyway, on monday she does bingo in afternoon and bakes cakes for them, on tuesdays she does tea and biscuit mornings then wednesday she does bingo again on thursday she books a singer/stall stands where they can buy clothes etc then fridays she treats them to fish and chips on top of cleaning for my step dads mum and doing her shopping  she didnt take any time for her self and is always putting others first.
But before Christmas we found she beat cancer AGAIN  :D  and in February she will be having her last operation to have her bag removed :D we are all over the moon that in a year she beat cancer got through Chemo and now in two weeks will be rid of everything :D
