The Sims 1: Game Won't Launch

UPDATE: GOT MINE TO WORK

I have Nvidia on my computer (GEForce RTX specifically but I don't think that matters) - this fix worked!

Still having the exact same issue as you here in Oregon, except on Steam, and have done all of the recommended fixes so far that's been suggested over the last few days.

I'm having the same issue. Vulkan device error is gone but still not launching, goes straight back to EA App.

I should note, I also uninstalled the "OpenCL™, OpenGL®, and Vulkan® Compatibility Pack" that has been mentioned and restarted my computer and it still just goes back to the EA App after trying to launch. I hope I didn't need that package installed for anything else LOL I am not very computer savvy, but this gal wants to play the Sims!! haha 

Luckily you can redownload the opencl opengl and vulkan compatibility pack! It's super easy, just type it into the internet browser search bar and you should be able to find it! :) 

I just downloaded the birthday bundle today, and the sims 1 crashes on launch and doesn't give me any error....

 I get " vulkan initialization failed " 

I've tried everything and I'm scared of it being my laptop. my graphics driver is Intel 4000 and is updated fully, vulkan is no where in my laptop

I have also tried everything and nothing seems to work...
