The Sims 2 - Broken relationships after packaging an occupied lot

#TheSims2 Hey! In the sims 2, I accidentally moved a family member's household to a house chest and the family tree associated with it broke. With him you can see everyone and his children, and with other family members (in other households) you can see him but not the children. they generally treat him and his children as friends rather than family. This can be seen when interactions are selected. He can perform love interactions with his own mother, for example. Does anyone know how to fix it? is there any code or mod or anything that would help make them family again and fix the family tree?

  • @vlENIGMAlv , the mod you want to repair the relationships is called Sim Blender (for Sims 2). I cannot provide a link here, but I did a Google search and found it is still available for download. This will allow you to re-establish the relationships.

  • @vlENIGMAlv Tremayne has beat me to it but, yes, Sim Blender should work. I don’t know how effective it is in such an extreme situation, but it does have options that you’re looking for.

However, you should keep in mind that packaging a lot into the Lots and Houses Bin, then placing it back into the same neighborhood, will create clones of every Sim connected to that household via memories and family trees.

What you have right now are clones of original Sims, which were deleted and hidden. So keep in mind that this can be a messy process. I highly suggest not doing this again and, if you wish to save a lot, that you move out the family before packaging it.

If you have a backup made before you first packaged the lot and the family, I highly suggest restoring that instead.
