    I already figured it out. When I turned my internet connection off it worked. I researched more and found that there was some weird update for the launcher involving the internet causing it to crash.

i tried these steps and my game still crashes when i go to make a sim or play a family i even play with out the internet on

ive turned off my internet, ive tried just about everything but my game STILL crashes when i reach create a household or load a household that ive already made.
