The Sims 2 Exchange HELP!?

I simply want to make another account on the sims 2 ea website. It had been sometime sense I had gotten on. I try to log in to my other account and it says the password is wrong. So I tried to make another account. What happens is it sends me to the actual ea website. I have an Origin account. I just want to know if I can still make a sims 2 ea account and if I can HOW??? I seen people say that it is shut down but it looks like it used to. I know it was under maintenance  work for awhile. I really just want to be able to download custom content again and make a new account that way I can upload my sims on there. If anyone knows what to do or what happened please tell me!

    The Sims 2 website HAS been shut down. I am sorry. There may be other ways to download custome content for the Sims 2, but I have found none. There are ways to make custom content by going to http://www.modthesims.info/   Im not fully sure it will work though. Hope this helps.
