The Sims 2 expansion won't install.

Question

I don't know if you can help, I've installed The Sims 2 on my windows 10 pc, that has installed fine, but every time I try to install the expansion packs it asks me to insert the sims disc 4, on doing so it then asks for an update, when the update starts it displays a failure message and uninstalls the expansion, this repeats on every expansion, I was wondering is this due to the windows 10? ive tried solutions online and nothing has worked, I have looked for digital copies of the expansions to purchase but due to the games age i cannot find anything, any solution would be greatly appreciated.

You have The Sims 2 base game and The Sims 4 expansions? Do I understand that correctly?
Because expansions for The Sims won't work on The Sims 2 base game.

Did you, at one time own all of the Sims 2 Expansions? Does your base game now say it is the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection? If so, all of the expansions are a part of the base game, they all installed together. Click on the base game tile in Origin and see what it says.
