[The Sims 2] Launcher Sims 2

I downloaded the Sims double deluxe today. During the installation everything went fine. But the minute I clicked play it said. The Sims 2 Launcher doesn't work anymore. I tried as good as everything...

Have you already tried to bypass the launcher? You can do that by starting the game from the Sims2EPx.exe - the x is depending on the expansion / stuff pack you have:

Bon Voyage = Sims2EP6.exe
FreeTime = Sims2EP7.exe
Apartment Life = Sims2EP8.exe
Mansion & Garden Stuff = Sims2EP9.exe

Please search for the exe file of the latest expansion / stuff pack to start the game. As an example: If you have Bon Voyage and Apartment Life, search for Sims2EP8.exe and start the game by double-clicking on this file.

If that works for you, create a shortcut to this file on your desktop and use this shortcut to start your game going forward.
