The sims 2 super collection CC .package still doesn't show up in-game

So i installed CC  that ends with ".package" and placed it in my downloads folder, yet it doesn't show up in-game! can anyone help me?

    @Strodering Please try using this folder for installing CC:

    ~/Library/Application Support/Aspyr/The Sims 2

Hm, only one mod appears to be working though. What could be causing the issue?

I know this is an old thread, but I just realized this and thought I would share. 

1. Make sure that the CC you're installing is compatible with the EPs and packs in the Super Collection. 

Also, and this is what I discovered, make sure you are using the CEP mod from ModtheSims and install ALL the packages required. I made the mistake of not installing the ZCEPExtras folders and I couldn't find my CC. I think this may be the solution for a lot of issues of missing CC.
