The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection crashing on Windows 11
I was asked by the support person to ask my question a second time in the forums, so forgive me please if you are seeing this twice. Case# 193462532.
The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection is crashing on my new laptop which is a Windows 11 with 32gb memory Intel core i9 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU UHD graphics card. This game play just fine on my Windows 10 laptop, but not the new one. I have done the 4gb patch and tried to the best of my abilities to fix the executable according to directions on the web. I admit, I am not a networking person though. What I am experiencing is that the game will load and enter into neighborhoods, but as soon as you try to enter a lot that is populated, the game will crash or if you try to create a new sim in CAS the game will crash there as well. Build mode seems to work fine except the mouse is way too fast. I know the crash used to be an issue with windows 10 as well, but that seems to be working now with no issues. It is just the windows 11 where it crashes. I have reached out to tech support twice now. I have run the driver update and I have reached out to Microsoft support and NVidia support as well. Is there anyone who can help me get my game to run? I did get an email verifying the case and did post on the forums already, although I did not see my original post... so here it is again. The email said that the case would be closed if I did not reach out and say I still need help, that is why I bugged tech support the second time, who also asked me to post this in forums. so, I apologize if the second post for the same issue is causing problems.
