    @Kararsim , the first thing you need to do is download and install the Graphics Rule Maker. That will insure that the game is properly recognizing your graphics card and should solve some of the 8 bit color issues. 

    Next, try running in Windows XP mode if you can once you install the new graphics rule.sgr file.

    So I used simsnetworks GRM. My game is running again without crashing! And I bumped up the graphics to my liking! Thank you! I still have the town loading in as black (I can live with that np) but is there a way to make my game bigger than 800x600 resolution? I fiddled around with it, but it never changes. If not, I still want to thank you with the GRM idea!

      @Kararsim , actually there is. Go back into the Graphics Rules.sgr and change the Low, Medium and High graphics settings all to "3". You should see them currently numbered "I, 2, 3" and they are at the very beginning.
