The Sims: Legacy Collection Won't Launch on Steam!

Hello everyone,

I purchased The Sims: Legacy Collection on Steam, but I’m facing a major issue when launching the game. When I click the "Play" button, the game seems to load momentarily, but it immediately crashes back to the desktop. I just can't get it to start.

To fix this, I have tried the following methods:

• Changed compatibility settings.
• Ran the game as an administrator.
• Verified the integrity of game files via Steam.
• I disabled my antivirus software.
• Ran Steam as an administrator.

None of these worked, but I managed to launch the game by adjusting some settings in the Nvidia Control Panel. However, I have to repeat this process every time I launch the game, which is frustrating. I want the game to open directly from Steam without any extra steps.

Additionally, I encountered a minor bug. While playing, a burglar tried to break into my house, the burglar's music played, but the burglar appeared for only a second and then disappeared. It seems like NPCs are not properly loading into the game.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If someone has found a permanent fix, please share! It looks like EA needs to release a patch for this, but for now, I’m looking for community solutions.
