The Sims Life Stories
The Sims Life Stories - I'm unable to launch it keeps giving me this error message "In order to launch this game, please log into Origin to verify your ownership, then please try again" I've cleared...
Hi, @Elizabethrayne!
Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with The Sims. When you load up your Origin account you can see the game in your Games Library right? Try right-clicking on the game and select Repair to let me know if that helps.
Any way you can let us know what your system specs are by attaching a DxDiag in case we can find something there that could be triggering the error?
Lastly, have you tried resetting the password on your account or reinstalled Origin by re-downloading the latest version from Origin.com?

Hi Good Afternoon,
I do not have a repair option when I right click the game. The only options that appear are "Play" "Show Game Details" "Remove from Favorites" "Game Properties" "Hide" and "Uninstall"
I did uninstall the game and reinstalled it, still getting the same error message. Edited to add: there is a repair option for the sims 4, but not for the sims life stories and this is the game I am having issues running.
I have reinstalled Origins and do have as far as I can tell the most up to date version of the installer.
I'm not sure why resetting my password would have any bearing on the game not running or the error code I'm receiving but I did that as well.
I am more often then not at this point receiving the EC: 5510 code and no longer receiving the please login error.
Hello origin has a right click drop down screen. Troubleshoot compatibility click on that and then try either one. I really hope soon that EA will be back for phone calls. Looks like you have done a lot already. Good Luck!
Hi Yes I tried to run as administrator as well as compatibility mode I tried running as Vista and XP and even 98. None of them have worked and now that I have tried unnstalling and reinstalling I'm now getting the popup telling me to log into origins.
