Best way I have found to get round the error 16 code is to save the game under a new name. This will of course leave you with the old save file too which it seems you can't delete from the main menu, but if you exit the game then access documents - Electronic Arts - Sims Medieval - Saves, you can delete the old save file from there. It seems to be the best way to get over the error 16 code at the moment.

@Deke121 , thank you for your input. Is there anything additional players may need to do? Just trying to make sure everyone has good directions.

  I have looked all over the internet, without success, for a solution to the error 16 code. I also tried many of the suggestions that are out there and contacted Origin, but they haven't got back to me yet. The solution of creating a new save under a different name and then deleting the old file in documents definitely works though. I played the game for around three hours and was still able to save under a different name then delete the old file. Hope this helps a lot of people.

    @Deke121 , thank you. I think the step others were missing was the deleting of the old file as many had not found a way to do so. 🙂
