The Sims Medieval CC issues

Hi, I'm having a slight issue with my Sims Medieval CC.

Let me start by saying that in CAS, all the custom content looks completely normal and has very few issues aside from minor placement problems.

As you can see in the first photo, my custom content looks pretty good up close. I can't complain about it.

Then in the second photo as we start to zoom out, we can see what is beginning to happen. My Sim's hair is becoming streaked with darker colors, but her gown is completely unaffected. This is a little annoying but tolerable.

In the third photo we can see the most annoying issue. If I zoom out too far, my Sim's hair morphs (into what I assume is the base mesh for the custom hair) and her gown is now missing pieces.

My settings are all maxed out, and trust that I am not playing on a low end computer. Everything runs perfectly and there is absolutely no lag, freezing, or locking up, even with the addition of mods. This is genuinely the ONLY issue I'm having.

Is it possible that this is just a crappy thing that happens with older games that aren't really being updated anymore, and I'll just have to get over it? Or is there something I could do or download to fix this? Did I miss a step in modding my game? Is it possibly a broken mod that's doing this?

I've exhausted every possible solution I can come up with without removing my custom content. These games aren't really as enjoyable to me without them.

Thanks in advance!

  • @AFluffyPandicorn , it could be that you do have an outdated mod in your game since not many people continue to mod or create CC for this particular game. One way to check is to go back to the sites you downloaded the mods from and check when they were last updated. Another is to remove them and then add them back one by one. Also check your CC too as they may not have been updated either.

I would check the mods before checking each piece of CC.
